If you want to truly experience
the majesty and serenity of Idaho's wilderness, this is the vacation
for you.
Trips to the high mountain lakes begin
in July, and the last trip ends in early September. Our experienced
and friendly guides, wranglers and cooks will make your trip
a pleasure you'll never forget. Explore the beauty and grandeur
of the Frank Church River of No Return Wilderness and Selway-Bitterroot
Headwaters, and feel free to pursue your own interests.
Visit high mountain lakes, led by our
experienced guides. Enjoy western-style meals cooked over the
campfire and in dutch ovens as your guide spins tales of the
old west. Live and laugh under moonlit skies filled with countless
stars. Sleep and dream in comfort, away from pressure, stress
and worry.
We Make It Easy
Our trips are full-service. Just pack your personal gear and
come enjoy Idaho's majestic mountains and abundant wildlife from
the comfort of horseback. See elk, deer, grouse and more... perhaps
even a bear or moose.

The wilderness lakes are a fisherman's
dream come true. Cutthroat trout and rainbow trout abound. You
may plan a 4- to 10-day trip for either fly- or spin-cast fishing.
Combine it with horseback riding and eating under the stars for
a vacation long to be remembered.
How Our Area is Different
Unlike other Idaho vacation spots,
the areas we explore are remote. Leave behind crowds, ringing
phones and traffic! When you travel with Horse Creek Outfitters,
you're not going to see many people, if any at all. In fact,
some of our mountain lakes see only a couple of fishing parties
per year.
We Tailor Your Trip
to You
We can tailor a trip to meet
your wishes. If you want a leisurely vacation with solitude,
beautiful scenery, abundant wildlife, fishing, camping, hearty
western-style meals, gentle horses and old-fashioned fun, count
on Horse Creek Outfitters.

Our base camp offers
lots of fun activities for families, as well as comfortable lodging
for those times when you just want to sit back and relax. Want

Or maybe you want to rough it a
little and experience a progressive pack trip through Idaho's
wilderness. No problem. If you're a hard-core fly fisherman in
search of solitude and trout that have seldom, if ever, laid
eyes on an artificial fly, look no further.
Our base camp offers plenty of activities
for families. Horse Creek runs just behind camp--youngsters absolutely
love fishing Horse Creek. And the famous Horse Creek Hot
Springs is a short drive from camp, where fur trappers and Indians
of old came to bathe. Enjoy horseback rides, play a friendly
game of horseshoes or volleyball, explore, or just kick back.
When you feel like venturing out farther,
we can take saddle horses to some of the more remote lakes, where
we can either spend a few days with light tents or come back
to base camp the same day.
Menus can even be adjusted to fit your
group's taste. Just be sure to let us know at the time of booking.
