Horse Creek Outfitters' archery
hunts are conducted in Unit 21 in the Frank Church River of No
Return Wilderness. Our archery season runs from August 30 to
September 30. We are hunting during the elk rut.
Access into our area is only by foot
or horseback. The area is remote and sees very few people, other
than ourselves and our clients. It is approximately a 4-1/2 hour
horseback ride from our base camp to our backcountry campsite.
The hunts consists of 8 days, 6 full
days of hunting and a day each way in and out. We will ride out
every day by horseback from camp.
Why bow hunt with Horse Creek Outfitters,
Inc.?
- As an Idaho Outfitter, we have a set-aside
allotment of tags, guaranteeing the hunter that he or she will
be hunting the next fall season.
- Excellent operation, great camps, stock,
cook and guides.
- We have harvested many Pope & Young
bulls.
- Very little hunting pressure.
- Average shot is 5-30 yards.
- Most years our opportunity and success
runs higher than our rifle hunts. Average opportunity is 75-90%
- You will have an owner in camp with
you.
- We will cater to your needs.
